Share your CPAP story

Do you have a compelling story to tell about your experience with CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy?  Has it made a vast improvement in your life that you’d like to tell others about?  Has your diabetes improved?  Have you been able to lose weight?  Has any depression lessened?  Are you able to work more productively?  Have your relationships with others improved?  Tell us your story.

That’s what www.shareyourcpapstory.com is all about.  Here at the Sleep Wellness Institute just outside Milwaukee, Wis., we’ve seen thousands of people go from the misery caused by sleep apnea to wonderful, restful, refreshing sleep … sometimes in just one night.  And we’d like to give you the chance to tell your story.

Here is how to participate.  Just complete the permission and story submission form to write your story and send it to us via email.  If we find your story to be compelling, interesting, even inspiring, we’ll post it here on this website … and we will send you the new flip video camera (www.theflip.com) so you can actually tell your story on camera.  The camera is yours to keep as a thank-you for your willingness to share.  You can then follow the instructions with your camera to download your video to your computer and then email it to us.  After reviewing your video , we’ll submit it to You Tube and other sites, and post it on our website.  We ask that you try to limit the time of your video to two (2) minutes, and we may ask you to re-shoot your video for technical reasons. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Everybody has a story to tell.  Will share yours with us?

CPAP is the safest, most effective treatment for sleep apnea. I have had the privilege of testing and treating people who suffered from the effects of sleep apnea. I have literally seen their life given back to them overnight through the use of CPAP and the benefits are immense. I have seen it repair marriages, control high blood pressure, lower diabetic patients blood sugar levels and cure depression. Unfortunately for some people CPAP can be a difficult frustrating experience. I have found that the most common cause of this frustration is usually the result of a lack of education between the CPAP provider and the CPAP patient. The following is a compilation of 25 most common problems and solutions that have been experienced by our patients on CPAP throughout my 21 years in the field of sleep disorders. These simple tips have allowed us to maintain an 85% compliance rate with our CPAP patients.
